The new kids in town (Associate Dean and Homiletics Prof. that is)

I [Dean Stafford] am happy to announce the appointment of two new members of the School of Theology faculty and staff.

The Rev. Walter B. A. Brownridge has accepted the position of Associate Dean for Community Life. Fr. Brownridge is a graduate of John Carroll University, earned an M.A. in international relations at the University of San Diego, a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and an M. Div. from the General Theological Seminary in New York. Fr. Brownridge and his family have just returned from Capetown, South Africa, where he completed a three-year term as Canon in St. George's Cathedral. Fr. Brownridge's wife, Tina Nader, and their sons, Alec and Martin, will be joining the Sewanee community as well. Fr. Brownridge's office will be HH 211. He takes up his responsibilities on September 1.

The Rev. Dr. William F. Brosend II has accepted the position of Associate Professor of Homiletics. Dr. Brosend is a graduate of Denison University, received his M.Div. from Vanderbilt University Divinity School, and his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. He comes to Sewanee from five years' service as Associate Director of the Louisville Institute in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Brosend's wife, Christine, and his daughter, Emily, join the Sewanee community as well. Dr. Brosend's office will be HH 229 and his office telephone 1442. He takes up his responsibilities on August 30.
